There is no central archive of registrations in Canada or the United States. The registrations are in the Provincial or State archives, sometimes in local County or Municipal archives.

These archives are usually not open to the public. You must request the information, often prove that you are a relative, and then pay. It is also not possible to have the government staff research a person over several years. You usually need some approximate date or other information that will make their search easy.

Some provinces in Canada have minimal information available on line but I have not used these so I cannot provide detail.
